Situation
Amazon's Delivery Service Partner was quickly expanding around the globe but some of the key parts of the business hadn't been captured in photography yet. Furthermore, we needed to expand our library of images to show more what our actual owners and drivers looked like beyond the limited selection that had been captured previously.
Task
Work with our production partners in St. Louis on a shot list and cast to capture as broad of a demographic base as possible. This had to be done on a secure set so lighting and scenarios could be dialed in and also because delivery stations were just to busy to host an entire cast and crew including extras.
Action
I spent several weeks working with my Creative Director to go through casting to find the perfect drivers and owners for this assignment. Then I flew to St. Louis for two weeks and worked side by side with the photographer, producer, and crew each day to capture several thousand images. We had two delivery stations built on a set as well as built-to-white studio on site.
Result
After a few rounds of edits and selecting finals, we had over 75 world class images that represented the DSP programs and a more diverse cast of people to use in our acquisition and engagement marketing around the world.
