Webinar intro
Company: Amazon

Role: Art Director

Project: Video series for acquisition marketing across paid/owner media

Creative Director: Clayton Taylor

Production: Bruton Stroube

DP: Brandon Voges

Overview

Amazon's Delivery Service Partner (DSP) marketing team wanted to launch a video ad campaign along with a 13 part webinar series for their newly developed acquisition site, logistics.amazon.com

Goal

I was to make sure the shot list, script, cast, props, wardrobe, HMU, and overall art direction were on brand and raised the bar for the brand. I also needed to make sure the message flowed smoothly across two video campaigns in :30/:15/:06 spots and 13 individual webinar videos vetted and approved by legal and privacy for US and CA.

My Role

I flew to St. Louis, MO to work side-by-side with our production partners on three different sets shooting motion and stills  (see stills here.) We spent about a week rehearsing and shooting each scene including hours of b-roll.

While the studio worked on initial edits, I flew home and scanned through several dozen soundtracks to license one that fit the mood and tone that would be on brand for the scenes we shot.

Then our production agency sent through a handful of select talents that had auditioned and I narrowed it down to the two you hear in the final products. To record the vocal tracks, I remoted in from Seattle, while my marketing partner connected from NYC, the voice actors read their lines in Atlanta, and the production partners recoded everything at a studio in Los Angeles. We spent the day going over several :30/:15/:06 scripts in different intonations to get just the right feel.

Outcome

The series just launched earlier this year and analytics and KPIs are still pouring in. Until those KPIs come back, check out the complete webinar series here.
